With Grand Finale just a few weeks away, the Top 5 contestants are leaving no stone unturned to outshine each other and win the coveted title of Saregamapa Singing Superstar. This week, the evergreen superstar – Anil Kapoor graced the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa! The actor was the celebrity judge to promote his latest slapstick comedy ‘No Problem’. The contestants were doubly happy because Sugandha, Khurram, Bisakh, Kamal and Ali Sher have lent their voices for the title track of the movie, ‘No Problem No Problem’! The actor recollected his moments with veterans in the music industry after witnessing the excellent renditions of his collection of hit songs by the contestants. He was thoroughly impressed by the pool of talent and was mesmerized by the versatility of each and every finalist. He was reminded of wonderful memories with his co-stars as Sugandha sang ‘ Tumse milke aisa laga’, Bisakh’s rendition of the song ‘ Kuch na kaho ..’ from the movie 1940 A Love story. On Bisakh’s request he also did a jig on Mera Naam Hai Lakhan (E Ji, O’ Ji). It was complete music and masti after each rocking performance with the mentors Vishal, Shekhar, Daler, Sajid & Wajid, the Top 5 contestants & Anil Kapoor.

Looks like Suganddha and Ranjeet were the bottom two and Ranjeet was eliminated!
Kalaa, you seem to be very reasonable person, as you can easily roll back, if somebody’s argument makes sense to you.
Please roll back on ‘Good looking (Asian) Indian males is a minority’!!

srgmp bhai, I’m only repeating what I hear from desi girls (admittedly in america). But don’t take it too serious, that was a throwaway remark :)
Hmm……
Then I would put it differently – ‘Desi girls develop a complex after coming to US!!’. :-)))
Hey srgmp just wanted to ask you if u knew how we could vote from North America…..i love Kamal and I wanna make sure the BEST person wins!!
that’s certainly a good counter-charge!
So V’s Wikileak will reduce the tension watching the show tomorrow, but chalega as we all thought Ranjit will be shown the door.
Just surprised that Sugandha is doing badly as both judges and public seem to love her so far.
I don’t know for sure. This is what I deduced from the pictures on Zee TV site.
The thing that bothers me more than any re: Desi reality shows is that they constantly change the rules in the middle. It is beyond preposterous, although somewhat inline with how our democracy works, I guess. As in last week, when one person who got eliminated was not; yes, they will combine the votes for 2 weeks, but so what, if they had used that system, someone else who was eliminated previously might not have been. Or at other times, they bring in some new contestants in randomly. The first time I saw this on SVoI, I had a cow. SVoI2 was the worst in that regard; it was just so shameless back then, I called in DirecTV and canceled my subscription to Desi TV package which was costing me $40 a month, and had vowed never to watch another Desi music show ever again, only to sheepishly admit my lack of resolve and sneak back in a year ago.
Now, I used to watch American Idol a few years ago, and Simon “I am so mean and scowling” COwell, Randy “Yo Dog” Jackson, Paula “Drugged Out” Abdul were just as lame or worse than any Indian judges, but one thing they did not do was change the rules in the middle and bring in new people in the middle. They might not take to the streets (unlike in UK and the rest of socialist Europe) when they get laid off and their social security is cut, but people here will definitely bring down the riot gear if the Idol people changed rules in the middle of the game like that in the US, I can tell you that! In India on the other hand, people pelt rocks at the buses and burn down shops every 3rd day for no reason whatsoever, and I see no outrage at these abuses on the reality shows – where is the passion, guys?
