  Sugandha Mishrra sang well. But not as good as Maampee Nair. Now the whole picture is clear to all and well understood Maampee Nair of North East India sings much much batter than Sugandha.

  what the rubbish r u talking …if mamphee was better than she sholudnt have been eliminated before public voting…Sugandha has been consistent through out the contest which shows she is a phenomenal singer..she can do justice to any type of song..and one thing judges are far far more experince tha you..you seems to commenting as u are a music maestro …hahahaha

  subin, do you talk this way to people in real life? Computer ke peeche chuha bhi sher ban jata hai. Calm down and be civil to other posters.

  Sugandha is a versatile and melodious singer. This was not her best effort. She escaped being eliminated today, but in my opinion is among the top 3. Her great stage presence means that she could win it if she’s lucky.

  She is my favourite singer on this show.Her voice is so sweet and i will keep giving vote for her in every episode.

  OK, finally got to watch the Friday episide. I know, a bit late, but hey, I am almost 11 hrs behind y’all on timeline..

  Not surprised Ranjit got the boot. He had that look for a while now. My bet is he would have been eliminated in the previous round if he did n’t have that fall.. but sympathy never failed to win votes in India..

  In any case, we would never know what might have happened if the judges and the organizers had followed the normal rules, and some one eliminated last week. But then you heard my rant on that topic already.

  Other thoughts..

  I ragged on Sajid in a previous post, but he looked more presentable in that Hawaldar garb. Hint hint…Still, a visit to the local saloon is not out of order.

  Speaking of garbs, Vishal’s shirt looks like it was bought for 2 bucks in the TimeSquare. COme on guy, you can afford better. Not sure if he wants to mimic Simon Cowell on the American Idol, who has taken to wearing $3 T shirts, despite making $70 mil a year. Vishal – I can tell you, dress is not the best part about Simon, if you want to copy something there.

  I dont understand the point of Daler singing that duet with Ranjit. If any one heard Razwada’s voice in that song, raise your hand..

  ANd what’s with Shekar wrapping his arms around Sugandha in the romantic duet, and imemdiately start talking about her touching his feet and his long lost sibling emotions..Must be tan Indian thing..

  SO, the 4 other contestants collectively decided that Kamal’s big challenge is ghazals? Did they forget he got the top prize on the ghazal day just a few weeks ago? Is this a set up or what? Want to challenge Kamal, ask him to sing a fast paced rock song, or a low note romantic duet..

  On the set up angle, I am convinced the judges give it to the singer they want to protect for next week. Sugandha today?

    Christee, just for ur info ,Kamal sang”QAWALI” a few weeks agao and ghazal is entirely different…i thought he did amazingly well!!

  Saregamapa just ruined this song for me when they mentioned it had music by SD Burman. It is classic RD Burman song from Amar Prem, sung by Lata Mangeshkar and written by Anand Bakshi. How hard is it to Goggle the name of the composer and give them their due? How do people related to the musical shows don’t even know about who actually composed one of the finest RD Burman compositions? Just because it was based on Indian classic they found it safe to assume it as SD Burman composition? It’s a shame.
