With young geniuses like Sajid- Wajid, Vishal-Shekhar and Daler Mehendi for judges, the show bears the promise of a fine blend of its own glorious heritage with the spunk and vibrancy of today's times. A fresh look, a hip & happening set, a hit anchor and an instantly catchy brand-new title track will lend a very contemporary feel to the show and motivate the youth to deliver one breath-taking performance after another! The quest at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa this year is to hunt out India's "Singing Superstar" - not just a good voice, not a playback singer but a youthful voice that can rock the nation!
I am fond of music, cleared some levels of shastriya sangeet. I am glad to leave a comment here for Saregamapa programme. First of all I would like to write about the judges – mentors. These wonderful personalities have been the first reason for this session of Saregamapa to be so much famous and one of the reasons for the contestants to get votes from people and audience. I love these judges – mentors the way they support, groom cheer and what not to these contestants. This session pf saregamapa is of pure music and the guests called are also wonderful the best example was Richa Sharmaji. People are just flowing away along with the songs and the whole episode. Then the turn comes of the contestants. These contestants are so good in singing that people have started loving them and every musiclovedr has started dreaming of the same stage and to sing as these contestants are….
They are becoming idol contestants. I liked the episode of Richa Sharmaji. I like all the mentors Shekharji, Vishalji, Dalerji, Sajidji & Wajidji. I dream to participate in Saregamapa along with such judges………There are lot many things to be told about these judges (good things) but can’t write publically. I salute to these great personalities……..my eyes were actually watered while writing this comment.
You’ve told us how much you like just about everything about the show.
How about some useful comment about people on the show??
Good to see your positive comments about this fun set of judges, but purely as judges they often talk utter nonsense. They need to be more precise with their comments, and more even-handed, if they are trying to guide the contestants – rather than simply having a good time with being on TV and making a lot of money.
They obviously expect a lot from the contestants, and the public expects a lot from them too.
Agree, wholeheartedly.
I suspect they’ve scratched up notes long before the show itself; comments like how ‘innocent’ a contestant looks, etc, While I am an avid listener of each and every broadcast I do believe that name-calling is uncalled for: “Lover Boy….” for Byshak, etc. It is plain rude and irrelevant of the performer. But this sort of thing has routinely happened esp. on the kids’s contest, earlier.
Very unpleasant performance on my opinion. She tries so hard to sound the way it was originally sung and she falls flat on her nose just like she did when she sang “Salam E Ishq”. It was one of my favorite songs and I felt like I was ripped off when I heard the mentors praising her singing. Oh, comon Sajid-Wajid and Daler Pa Ji. Quit getting bullied by Vishal Shekhar. You can say you didn’t like the performance although she is from Vishal Shekhar’s gharana.
