Loading ...MUMBAI: After enthralling the audience for several years, Zee TV’s musical reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is back on the channel in a new avatar. The show in its 15th year will be titled as Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar.
The show will be aired from 13 August every Friday and Saturday at 9.30 pm.
“Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has set a benchmark over the last 15 years, one that is synonymous with the best in music. We are in the quest for a new voice for the industry – Music ki Nayee Awaaz ” said ZEEL COO and Zee TV business head Nitin Vaidya,
The show will undergo a revamp in terms of it’s look and feel which will now be new, young and contemporary. Pop star Daler Mehndi, musician duo Sajid Wajid and Vishal Shekhar will be mentoring the show. Purab Kohli will be host of this season.
“This is the first time we are conferring a title to the winner – ‘A Singing Superstar’. A singing superstar is one who has complete command over the basics of music – ‘Sur’, ‘Taal’ and performs with a voice that holds the audience captive and mesmerized,” Vaidya added further.
Auditions have been conducted in the major cities of Indore, Bangalore, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Baroda, Kolkata, Nagpur, Mumbai, Jalandhar, Lucknow, Jaipur and Delhi as well as abroad in Dubai, New York, London, Australia, Bangaldesh and Pakistan. 18 strong contenders have been chosen to compete against each other for the coveted title of Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar who has ‘Music Ki Nayee Awaaz.’
